About

The Blue Ribbon Brothers began in the fall of 2008 and haven’t looked back since! Starting with their first show at the University of Tulsa, to the first gig at Gray Snail Saloon, to playing three gigs a week. BRB is a blues-rock band that just loves to play music. All of the members are from Tulsa and enjoy playing in the local community. BRB also plays for benefits and non-profit events (such as Relay For Life).

Jake Jorishie grew up in Tulsa and went to Bishop Kelley High School. He then went to The University of Tulsa where he is currently studying History. Jake has been singing since his father first showed him The Temptations and that led him to the pursuit of a career with his comrades BRB.

Andrew Murray grew up in Tulsa and also attended Bishop Kelly High School. He has played with several groups at the Jazz Hall of Fame. Andrew attended the College of Santa Fe and performed in various studio bands during his time there. He has been playing guitar for seven years and was taught by Caleb Sanders.

Peter Hilborn grew up in Bixby but attended Berryhill High School and is now pursuing a degree in Music Education from The University of Tulsa. Peter currently works for Owasso High School teaching marching percussion for the Pride of Owasso. He also consults for other high schools in the Tulsa area. Peter teaches percussion lessons to students in the Tulsa area ranging from drum set to marching percussion. Peter has marched Drum Corps International spending two summers with Revolution and aged out with The Bluecoats in 2008. Peter was the Front Ensemble Coordinator in 2009 for Revolution and is currently taking a one year break from teaching DCI.

Jordan DeWitt grew up in Tulsa and graduated from Bishop Kelly High School in 2006. He is an energy management major at The University of Tulsa. Jordan grew up listening to Jerry Lee Lewis and has been playing piano since he was little.
